Modcloth scotty dog dress

My blogger pal Mookie lent me a couple of Modcloth dresses, and this is the last of the bunch. You can see the one she gave me here and here's the other one she loaned me. I don't think the dress is for sale any more as Mookie's had it at least a year as far as I'm aware. This is a 4x which equates to a size 26/28 UK.

The print is so cute isn't it? I fancied wearing my Frankenstein's monster brooch with it to contrast with the red of the dress.

Although the print is lovely, the dress didn't cinch me in at the waist like the others did. Still, I've been very impressed with the quality of all the Modcloth dresses Mookie lent me. I've since bought one myself. This was $20 in their Stylish Surprise sale and I love it - it's Beetlejuice with added spring flowers! I'll do an outfit post with it soon.

Brooch, Little Pink Kokoro
Leggings, Very (from a twin pack)
Shoes, past New Look

Have you tried anything from Modcloth yet? You can find plus sizes under what they call 'extended sizes' and there's quite a lot of choice. If only customs fees weren't so bad I'd buy from them more often.

Outfit | Fatshion February 02/02

Hello sweet things!

I've decided to do Fatshion February again this year. Last year I posted an outfit for every day but continuing my aim to take really good care of myself this year (and onwards) I'm only going to take part on the days I feel able to. My chest infection is drying up now (I've gone from a phlegmy cough to a tickly one now) but I'm still really fatigued so I'm not going to put any extra pressure on myself.

The reason I'm doing FF is because I have so much stuff, and while I'm digging through everything to see what to wear/use each day, I can decide what I want to keep/sell/donate to charity. The other reason is I feel quite uncomfortable sharing more casual looks so I want to learn to feel outfits are 'worthy' even if they're nothing special to my mind.

This is one of the Yours Clothing 99p dresses I snagged last year. It's super stretchy and far too big so I tend to wear it around the house. This is another pair of those cheapo tights from eBay, and proof just a few pounds can transform a whole outfit.

A good motto for life!

The boots (shoes?!) I'm wearing I bought in the New Look sale recently and I was glad to get them off after doing photos. I do like wearing heels occasionally as I think they add a little something to outfits, but I'm never going to be able to wear them like I did before Fibromyalgia because the pain I'm in after 10 minutes in heels is ridiculous. I buy them though to feel less different than before, I guess.

Outfit details:
Dress, past season Yours Clothing
40 denier tights, Ebay
Boots, past season New Look wide fit

That's all from me for today. I hope your week gets off to a good start!
