Life lately including Navabi Blog Awards - vote for me!

Hello lovelies! I've had a whirlwind few weeks and I thought I'd do a bit of an update for those of you who like to follow my life as well as what I'm wearing. A few weeks ago we went to stay with our friends M&T in Wiltshire. We had a lovely time there and did a lot of activities. It was so lovely to spend time in the countryside with them and their kitties. Here's an outfit post from that weekend.

Another exciting thing is I decided to put myself forward for the Navabi blog awards this year, and I've been overwhelmed with the votes I've already received. I was joint first place initially and now I've dropped to 7th so you can vote for me here if you like what I do. Click on my photo (and the photos of anyone else you want to vote for - you can vote for multiple people this year) then fill out the captcha at the bottom. Ta da! I entered myself into the competition on a whim and it has made me realise something. I've often felt undervalued as a blogger - not necessarily by the people who read my blog, but certainly by some of my peers. I feel that people underestimate me, don't see me as a peer, and I always feel like a black sheep. Entering and realising I'm actually viewed with some esteem has made me realise that if you don't put yourself forward for things people assume you're happy to be in the shadows. I've realised the only person underestimating me before was me. Even if I end up last in the voting by the time the two week voting period is up, I've learned a very important lesson.

While we were in Wiltshire with our friends we went to Mottisfont Abbey, a lovely National Trust property. It's a grand old country house with a few cafes/tea rooms, a gift shop and extensive grounds to explore.
It has a really cool, dripping cellar underneath.
Less than a week after we got back from Wiltshire, 3 members of my family came to stay for a week. It was really nice to spend time with them. We took them for a nice drive around the countryside this Sunday afternoon and went to Beachy Head and to meet our favourite friendly horses. My dad and I at Seaford.
My dad, James and my cousin.
My aunt is camera shy but we managed to get her in, too.
2 days after my family left my blogger pal Mookie and her hubby Mike came to stay as it was Mike's birthday and they were going to a gig near us to celebrate. Mookie ended up ill so Mike went on his own, and myself, James and Mookie stayed in to watch the Eurovision Song Contest. On the Sunday we went to a lovely local farm for a drink in the sunshine and to feed the geese and ducks. M&M in love.
All this gadding about hasn't been great for my health. I sprained my ankle and whacked my arm really badly in Wiltshire, and all the to-ing and fro-ing with our guests in a short space of time has completely exhausted me. I don't know if I've got a virus or I'm having an ME flare up but I'm really not doing well at the moment. At least I have lots of lovely memories to make up for it, though. I'll be doing another update of what I've been watching/reading etc in the next few days too.

What's new with you lately?

Thanks for reading. Leah xoxo

    1. Thank you so much! <3 I haven't even thought about winning as I'm up against some industry giants and I don't have their reach, but to be in the top 10 at all (as I am at the moment) is HUGE for me. I've always felt like I'm not valued (my own issues!) and now it seems I am. It's wonderful.
