Hi pickles,
I hope you had a good weekend? We had a great one, I'll tell you all about it in a couple of days.
This month's Glitterati subscription box from Crown & Glory was a special one as it was my birthday month and you get a birthday gift, making that 6 items. Squee!
I'll provide links where possible with the items in the box. Some of them are exclusive to the Glitterati.
The theme this month was Easter so there are lots of lovely pastels. First up are these lovely lilac Glitter Bunny Ears, which are so fun.
Next is the Not A Lotta Rosie headband, which is a lovely subtle way to pretty up an outfit without being too out there.
You've probably already seen the Chiffon Tie Headscarf which I wore in this outfit post. It's almost weightless and the flocked hearts on it are so pretty.
I haven't got a photo of me wearing the Daisy Bobby Bin Set as I'll be gifting these to my little niece, I think. They come in gold, black, white or pink and these are on the website already. (£8.) The Metallic Vegan Leather Bunny Hair Clip is cute and would look lovely just in front of a bun.
My birthday gift was this lovely Elbie crown in turquoise, which kinda reminds me of the Statue of Liberty, so there is definitely some Statue of Liberty dress up happening in my life soon! It's on the website in 2 colours (not turquoise) for £35. I think the point is the other colours are given away on birthdays to keep it more special.
This month's box was another stonker! All this for £20, such good value. (I know, I know, I'm like a broken record!) Which of these is your favourite?
C&G is now available in House of Fraser in 6 stores - Oxford Street, Reading, Bristol, Leeds, Glasgow, Dublin.
Thanks for reading.

Being a mermaid in Crown & Glory
Friday, 13 March 2015
Hello lovelies!
I wrote about the contents of March's Crown & Glory Gliterrati box here. In that post you can read more about what the Glitterati box is. I dressed up in an arty farty way to wear these pieces. I did my makeup in my interpretation of a mermaid style and wore a shimmery blue piece of material to bring on those mermaid vibes. Here are some of those photos.
The twist rope headband is very similar to one my friend bought me for Christmas, which you can see here. My favourite things this month are a tie between the candy clam shell clip (which I might see if I can add a brooch back to as I'd love it as a brooch!) and the pearl encrusted hair elastic, which is so versatile. I also adore the fish scale turban. Shiny shiny!
I might do more themed looks for future Glitterati boxes if they have a theme I can put my spin on.
Thanks for reading,
Leah xoxo

Crown & Glory Glitterati box March
Friday, 6 March 2015
Hello sweet peas!
March's Glitterati box from Crown & Glory is another winner. This month we have a marine theme, and I love it!
I thought on first sight that the fish scale turban would be my favourite item, but it's actually the pearl encrusted hair elastic. It's so versatile - you can wear it over the top of your hair, as a bracelet, as a choker and even as a hair elastic. For £5 that is some bang for your buck, plus the boat and seahorse charms are adorable!
Here's a photo of me in the pearl hair elastic. I did some mermaid-themed makeup to take these photos and wore a shimmery blue piece of material I've had for years. I bought it (because magpie, obvs!) and have never done anything with it. Maybe I'll make some cushion covers out of it if I ever get my sewing machine threaded and ready to rock n' roll again.
I actually took a load of photos of me wearing everything from this box which I'll share another day to keep this post brief.
You can sign up to the Glitterati box here. It's £20 a month including postage and comes with about £50+ worth of things. Other benefits are:
- a monthly box of hair accessories; a mix of floral, glitter and vintage inspired items
- designs exclusive to The Glitterati members
- especially themed months
- an extra special box in your birthday month
- super-special gifts for long-time subscribers
- exclusive access to a closed Facebook group for dedicated tutorials, early-access to sales and offers and a swapshop
Next month is my birthday and I'm so excited to see what a birthday box comprises of. I think that's the birthday thing I'm the most excited by!
February's box was here if you want to read that post.

Crown and Glory Glitterati Box February
Saturday, 7 February 2015
Hello loves,
There's no outfit post from me today. Instead here's this month's box of wonders from Crown and Glory. This is my 4th box and my favourite so far.
Everything comes nicely packed in a sturdy box. This month there was a Valentines card and a lollipop in the box, along with some heart shaped paper cut outs.
I absolutely love the burgundy hearts headband and the red glitter triple heart bandeau. I'm slightly less in love with the pink heart fascinator, but only because some of the hearts came off in transit and I'm worried about shedding pink confetti hearts if I wear it at a wedding. Still, there are plenty of hearts left in place and it's no biggie to get some craft glue or spray adhesive and some confetti and top up the sparkliness at a later date. I'm not really a small clips girl (go big or go home!) so I'm saving most of the little clips I get for stocking fillers for Christmas. This month's box had an RRP of £55 which is pretty sweet considering it's £20 including P&P. If you fancy subscribing to The Glitterati you can find out more here. They post worldwide.
Have a great weekend.

Crown and Glory Glitterati Box
Thursday, 22 January 2015
Hello love bugs,
I signed up to The Glitterati monthly subscription box from Crown and Glory three months ago on the recommendation of fellow glitter addict Laura. This is the first time I've been sensible enough to blog it. All but one of these items aren't on the website - and perhaps never will be - as many of the items are exclusive to The Gliterrati box.
The Glitterati box is just £20 a month including postage and this month's box had contents worth about £80. You also get access to a secret group on Facebook full of other glitter loving people with your subscription and from my limited interactions there it seems very supportive.
These little clips are so glittery!
This ribbon hairband is interesting. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to wear it yet but I'll work it out.
I love this scalloped crown and the colour is lovely.
I'm sure this marabou headband will tickle my ears but I look forward to wearing it at some point.
Expect to see most of these bits in outfit posts in due course.
Thanks for reading!
