A walk in the woods

Hiya lovelies! I've had a real lack of enthusiasm for blogging in the last few weeks and I think it's because I've had a bee in my bonnet about little projects around the house. That's still ongoing, but I've found my blogging mojo again as well - yay for sunshine! I'm solar powered. ;) Anyhow, here are some photos James and I took back in May when we went for a walk in some secluded woodland on a bright sunny day.

If I haven't had my nature fix for a couple of weeks I get really antsy, so being in the countryside and hearing all the birdsong soothes me. Even if it's a bad weather day and we go or a drive, just hearing the birds twittering relaxes me. This wooded area was really secluded, a bit too much so for my liking really. Normally we see lots of friendly dog walkers but not on this day. It's in the middle of nowhere.

The dress I'm wearing is an old one from Simply Be, and it's an old fave. The fabric is bobbling but the pattern and colour make me happy so I'll keep it until it falls apart.

I'm really loving white leggings at the moment. I think they really lift an outfit. I have a couple of pairs but my record at keeping whites white isn't great, so I'll probably end up buying some more. A domestic goddess I am NOT. ;)

My hair looks pink in the light

It's funny the things I remember when I look back on photos - I remember the bluebells in the undergrowth, and the horrible funny turn I had as I hadn't eaten enough before we went for our walk. I'm really quite shit at looking after myself. You'd think at 42 I'd have learned by now, wouldn't you?!
