Homewares from House of Fraser teal embroidered feather fulled cushions from the Living by Christian Lemieux range

Hiya! In this blog post I'm going to be talking about some new Christian Lemieux cushions from House of Fraser. I do love a good cushion, and I have a penchant for feather ones as they are so much easier to redistribute and plump up than those wispy stuffed ones that go lumpy and horrible. James and I have gone through no end of pillows and cushions to find the most comfortable ones for us and it's feather all the way. The only downside to feather cushions and pillows of course is that the feathers make a break for freedom and tend to poke you when you least expect it. Not these bad boys! The fabric of the cushion cover is really thick and the feathers inside are in a heavily lined inner cover so there should be no little stragglers.

We've got two sofas in the living room, and this one is the second one, the spare. It makes for a cheeky little afternoon nap spot (when I haven't got laundry piled on it waiting to be put away!) It's a well loved and battered sofa but it's like a big leather hug.

These cushions are embroidered, as you can see in the close ups. The fabric is a lovely teal colour - and I've just realised I've got the perfect throw to match them already. I do like to snooze in a colour coordinated way - call me a snob if you will! ;) When you look at the cushions closely you can see the embroidery is silver rather than white, but it looks white from a distance. For the moment these are staying in the living room, but I totally expect James to nick at least one of them for the bedroom. He picks up bits and pieces from all over the house - pillows from the spare bedroom, cushions and throws from the settees - and takes them into the main bedroom for his hugely messy bed-nest and nothing matches! He doesn't understand why I get so narked about it. I just want things to look nice in the bedroom, not like Joseph's coat of many colours. I'm being thwarted by my own husband, a traitor from within! Hahaha.

Check out House of Fraser's cushion offerings here. They've got everything from velvet to faux fur to leopard print and more. Did you know Kylie Minogue has a line in cushions? No, me either! Every day's a school day.

Does your significant other drive you to distraction by ruining your colour coordination?
Leah xoxo
