Stevie Nicks is fast becoming my style muse and I just want to twirl and twirl in this cardi. It's a really fine knit, lightweight and open weave, which is ideal for the first Autumnal days when there's just a tiny chill in the air. It laces up at the front and you can adjust it to wear it gathered shorter or longer.
'Unflattering' sideways on shot, but fuck it - I AM WHAT I AM AND WHAT I AM NEEDS NO EXCUSES |
These jeans are a really soft material with a lot of stretch, and they're high waisted. I have to size up a lot in jeans as I carry much of my weight in my bottom half. I ordered a size 32 which is fine in the legs but too big in the waist, so I'm going to have to sew the waist band a little because I hate wearing belts. Every 3 steps I was pulling them up, gah! I have this problem with alllll my jeans because there's such a big difference between my waist and hip measurement. It's not that I have a small waist - I definitely don't - I have a really big arse! ;)

Oooo, I have this cardigan in my cart actually. LOL. Simply Be has some of the best plus size selections out there. I don't even mind waiting for the shipping. It's really pretty fast. I think it takes longer to travel once it gets to the US than it does to travel from the UK. They have a great selection of brands and styles. I always wait for the sales too. Some of their clothes are expensive. But I've never gotten anything I thought was junk. I have some Joe Browns that I've owned for years. I'm glad you modelled this because I was on the fence about it. I wish they would use more plus size models. I have a problem with jeans too. My hips and waist are really close, so if one fits the other doesn't. I have to decide, tight waist or loose ass. I do like the Torrid jeggings as they are stretchy and have a higher rise. Can't do low rise or I'm tugging my drawers all day. I've already ripped belt loops right off the waist band. LOL. Did you find a new place to live? Hope you have a smooth and easy move.
ReplyDeleteOoh, it's lovely on, very lightweight. Yes, some of their things are really expensive but they've made things a bit better on that front recently, I'm pleased to say. I wish they'd use plus size models too. I wish everyone would, its ridiculous. I have a really short torso so it's a nightmare and I HATE jeans with elasticated waists with a passion. I'll put a series of little tucks all around the waist to bring it in a little. I don't like low rise jean either - I can think of better things to do than flash my arse at people when I bend over. ;)
DeleteWe did find somewhere and it's AMAZING! I'm so happy.
I'm really liking this open weave style knit for fall. I feel like it gives the illusion of warmth and coziness without being as heavy and hot as tighter knits. Plus, it feels so breezy and boho. I definitely see the nod to Stevie Nicks. I've started my fall shopping as well, and it's been a lot of jackets, waterfall cardigans (just like every other year), and at least some ruana wraps for something new. I'm a big fan of wearing a blanket that passes as chic clothing. lol

Thanks Liz! <3 I can't bear heavy knits that make you feel claustrophobic. I think I'd rather be cold! I like the sound of blankets that pass as clothing. ;)
