Dorothy Perkins Curve Ochre Ruffle Neck Tie Top

Hiya! Today I'm wearing the Dorothy Perkins Curve ochre ruffle neck tie top and it's so Autumn/Winter appropriate. I love mustard at this time of year.

Mookie has also got this blouse, and I fell in love with it after seeing it on her. It's just £12.50 in the sale so go grab one if you like it - the link is at the end of the post. I'm wearing a size 28 and I would say it's true to size, with maybe a little wiggle room in there. It's a really good quality blouse and I'm very happy with it. DP Curve have got quite a lot of lovely things in at the moment so it's well worth a look. They stock up to size 28.

The skirt is an old Joanna Hope for Simply Be one which I got from Everything 5 Pounds some months back, for - you guessed it - five pounds! It was over £40 originally so it's a hell of a bargain. Probably my best ever bargain from E5P.

The shoes were from ASOS some time ago, and they're not wide fit so they're very uncomfortable, but I suffer for my art. Hahaha.

The trouble with outfits using older items is it can be quite hard to find similar alternatives, but I always do my best. I know when I read other plus size blogger's blogs I just want to see fat bodies represented, even if I can't buy the things they're wearing. It's a bonus if items are still available to buy, but it's not essential. But if I can find similar things for you to buy I will always list them at the end of my posts. It might take me 10-15 minutes to write a post and an hour to find a couple of similar items, but I do try.

I took these photos on my balcony using a head height metal shelving unit from Ikea, a mug to balance my phone in, and the app Timer Camera. I used my front facing camera which isn't as good quality as my rear facing camera so these photos are a little out of focus, but I love this method as it's so hassle free. Next time I'll use the rear facing camera - I just have to make sure it's focused on me and not the road opposite, hah.
