I was invited to the official launch event for Viva Voluptuous lingerie, which I attended in London on Thursday. It was a lovely evening of good company, gorgeous luxury lingerie, fabulous cocktails, and burlesque entertainment.

I've been a fan of Viva Voluptuous since I was first approached by Liz from VV to write an introductory piece to the new plus size brand. I'd long been out of love with lingerie by this point having become fed up of nasty fabrics and poor fit, but seeing the beautiful designs Liz and her team creates was a breath of fresh air.

The event was so glamourous. The venue was Jewel Piccadilly - just 20 feet away from Piccadilly Circus tube station - a gorgeous building with huge mirrors, beautiful chandeliers, soft lighting and a large bar. Everything went seamlessly and there was a lovely vibe in the place. You know when you go some places and there's a snobby or cold feel from the place or the people? Not here, because Liz and her team were so completely welcoming and the staff at the event were great. Drinks flowed, endless canapes were brought around and a good time was had by all.

We were treated to catwalk shows of the lingerie and corsets and there were some real crackers. Tanya and I were saying 'I want that!' in stereo at every single thing.

Here's some of the blogger squad! Lottie top, Kat bottom, Tanya in the hair flower and a very tired looking me!
I've sampled some of the lingerie for myself and seen lots more on the website, but even I was blown away by the designs we saw. I almost wanted to slow down the models so I could get a close up of the details.

The wonderful burlesque artiste did two acts which were very good. I'm a long term fan of burlesque. I think it's a wonderful art form, and a lovely celebration of the female form.
I met the lovely Sandra from Gogglebox who cracked me up when I said I follow her on Twitter: "Talk to me babes!"

Here's another photo of us lot, including me with a stain down my t-shirt from missing my mouth! Damn, that porn star martini tasted good. Shame some of it went down my top, haha.
I met Sam and her friend Liv at Victoria and we hung out together beforehand as I can be a nervous wreck when my anxiety kicks in. Massive thanks to Tanya too for looking after me at the event. I get bad social anxiety sometimes and I also get overwhelmed when I'm around a lot of people, but thanks to these lovely women and Liz's organisation skills I had a marvellous evening.
It was so nice to spend time with my blogger ladies and meet Liz for the first time. Valentines Day is coming up so get yourselves over to Viva Voluptuous for that special something.

Thanks for reading.
Leah xoxo
