New affordable lingerie range - Tutti Rouge launches Rougette

Hello loves! There's a new and affordable lingerie range from established fuller bust lingerie company Tutti Rouge and it's called Rougette. Rougette's offerings differ to that of Tutti Rouge, coming in back sizes 32-42 in DD-G cups, and up to a 3XL brief. Brainstorming bra fitting for the bigger bust

I'm still on hiatus from blogging except for my existing commitments, but don't worry I'm still on social media.

 In just under two weeks I'm hosting a webinar about bra fitting for the fuller bust. The experts are:

• Ilona from Ms Pomelo, who make gorgeous comfortable bras for the fuller chest 
• Jackie Clarke, a bra fitting expert of many years experience at a major department store
• Retha Welding, a physiotherapist from SE1 Physio

It's a half hour long chat on Weds 12th July between 7.30 and 8pm and Ilona is going to give away some bras at the end of the evening to people who attended the webinar.

Ms Pomelo post-surgery bras for breast cancer warriors

Something I'm really keen on getting out there is Ms Pomelo's post mastectomy bras for breast cancer warriors. I know three people who went through breast cancer last year and who are still experiencing it. One of those friends Tracie has been kind enough to supply me with a bunch of images of her in her post-surgery bras, including some stunning pin up images of her by Alt Studio Manchester.

Viva Voluptuous launch event

I was invited to the official launch event for Viva Voluptuous lingerie, which I attended in London on Thursday. It was a lovely evening of good company, gorgeous luxury lingerie, fabulous cocktails, and burlesque entertainment.

Introducing Viva Voluptuous lingerie

Big Tights Company anti chafe shorts and seamless underwear

Before I went on holiday to Spain I reached out to the Big Tights Company to see if they had some ideas for keeping me cool in the heat, as I've got some of their other products and they're always of the highest quality. This year's holiday was my first warm weather holiday abroad since 2007 so I was concerned about coping in the heat. They sent me some anti chafing shorts, seamless knickers and a lace edged vest and knickers set. Read on to see how they helped me beat the heat!

Big Tights Company All Woman anti chafing long leg knickers size 24-28

I'm fat and my legs rub together when I walk, but then they always did. It's nothing to do with size and everything to do with pelvic placement. Even at my lowest weight my legs always rubbed. It's just the way I'm made. Big Tights do these shorts from a size 12 as they know it's not just us plus size folk who suffer in the heat! I already had a pair of these anti chafe shorts in an airy size 30-36, so I wanted to try them out in a smaller size to see how fit and comfort would be affected. Please read my previous in-depth review of the long legged knickers in a size 30-36 here. I found the bigger size very cooling (no swamp crotch) and I'm glad to say this size is equally as comfortable. They pull up over my bum and stay put all day both in the waist and in the legs thanks to the wide hem, but they don't dig in. They aren't just comfortable from the perspective of keeping your legs from chafing, but they actually stop you from sweating altogether. I've said it before, but I think it's witchcraft. These are a summer essential. Buy here. You can buy one or a pack of three.

I also have the shorts in a short leg length in a size 24-28 and these weren't so good on me. It depends where your fat distribution is on your legs. My legs touch almost to my knees, so I do need something that comes down quite far. What tended to happen with the short legged ones was if I pulled them up high enough to sit at my waist, there wasn't enough length left in the leg for me to be completely comfortable - they sit about 4-5 inches above my knees. I think that if I'd sized up to the 30-36 in these I would've had enough coverage for my bum and my legs, but in this size there just wasn't enough material to do both. But again, it depends where you need the coverage to be. I know many plus size women with relatively thin legs who wouldn't find the short leg length a problem. And at least now I know that the longer length is better suited to me. It's what you're used to as well - I'm used to having comfort shorts to my knee or even cropped leggings under skirts and dresses, so I feel a bit naked with a lot of leg being exposed to the air. Big Tights Company All Woman Lace Edged Vest and Knickers Set

This lace edged knicker and vest set is great. The lace is soft, not scratchy and the fabric of both is ribbed and soft. There is a lot of stretch in both the knickers and vest. I've worn the vest on a few different occasions. Because it's so stretchy it really makes my boobs stand out and the lace edging adds a little something to every outfit, regardless if it's casual or smart. I wore the vest on holiday under my Lindy Bop dress in this post.

I also wore it for a relaxed walk in the woods under a checked shirt. There is only one drawback with this vest and that's because it's highly stretchy, it does tend to ping up to my smallest part, being my waist. I find if I tuck it into my knickers or leggings then it doesn't do it as much. It's really a small thing to mention when it makes my boobs look so amazing, but I'll always be honest and bring up the good and bad points of an item so you have a balanced view.

The straps on the vest are wide enough to cover up the wide straps of plus size bras, which is always a thoughtful touch. Buy here. I will be buying one of the vests in white as well - you can buy the lace edged vest and knickers together or separately if you want one without the other.

Seamless knickers

These knickers are so comfortable I actually bought some more when I came back from my holiday! I have a pair for every day of the week and then some. I'm wearing them now! I have them in black, white and nude. They're made of the same fabric as the anti chafing shorts, and they actually prevent you from sweating. I don't know how, but it's magical. I find them even cooler than cotton knickers. Seriously! They're not just comfortable because they don't make me sweat, they just fit so well. I'm wearing the size 24-28 and there's lots of give in them. The don't pinch in the waist or the legs, they just hug me perfectly. If I had my way everyone would wear these. They're that good!

The only drawback to these knickers is when I'm on my period I can't wear them. Sanitary towels don't stick to them at all because they're so smooth, so I do wear cotton knickers when I'm on my period. The other drawback to them can be if you're wearing them AND the anti chafe shorts over the top, the chafe shorts will slip down. Again this is because the fabric of both has some slip. This of course can be avoided by wearing the long legged knickers with nothing underneath, which is perfectly acceptable thing to do, or wear cotton knickers underneath.

Another great thing about these knickers is they wash and dry so well. They come out of the washing machine barely damp at all. I dried mine in the sun on holiday and it took no time at all. They're perfect for taking on holiday as they scrunch up to nothing in your case and barely weigh a thing. I did mini reviews on Instagram on holiday and afterwards so I've included that information as well lest I repeat myself. You can buy them here. Also keeping me cool on holiday are these pants from @bigtights. They're made of the same material as the anti chafing shorts - a polyamide elastane mix - which by witchcraft doesn't make me sweat and actually keeps me cooler than cotton knickers. They're super stretchy and they don't dig in anywhere - not in the waistband or in the leg. I'm wearing a size 24-28 UK and there's plenty of room. Mooooore of the comfiest knickers in the land from @bigtights! I have a pair for every day of the week now + spares. If you want seamless knickers that barely show under your clothes, you're in luck. If you want knickers that don't make your nether regions as hot as Satan's cleft and actually keep you cooler than cotton, get them. If you want knickers you can barely feel on, yes sirree these are the ones for the job. Plus when you buy them @fullerfigurefullerbust's knicker-clad lady area is on the reverse of the packet. Elomi Bijou Soiree moulded bra review from Bras Galore*

I haven't always had the best success with bras. Like many other women I've worn all the wrong sizes. I've had bras that rode up at the back. I've had bras where my boobs fell out when I bent over. I've had bras so uncomfortable I've been put off wearing underwired bras for months, relying on those stretchy crop top bras which offer no support. Up until a few years ago I was of the opinion that splashing out money on bras was a pointless task as all the underwires popped out of them in no time flat anyway. But a few years ago I had an epiphany and realised my bras were falling apart because I was buying cheap ones. Since that time I've worn either Goddess bras for comfort or Evans concealed wire bras for oomph, but have been wanting to try Elomi bras as they looked equally as sturdy as Goddess ones. Bras Galore offered to send me a bra, and I picked this bra from Elomi as it looks like a cage bra from a distance and I like that look.

It's a gorgeous bra with regards to both aesthetics and design. It has moulded cups so it shapes your boobs, and it offers good uplift. The underwires are wide yet and strong and comfortable, and the straps are wide enough to support the weight of my boobs without too much digging in. It has hooks at the back so you can wear it racer back style. It is a really comfortable bra - still at the stiff new stage but it'll give soon - so I'm wearing it with a bra extender until then. My favourite part of the bra is the little band of fabric underneath the underwires. Sometimes underwired bras can dig in me when I bend over, but the comfortable stretchy band underneath protects the skin from that kind of abrasion.

Pour Moi? 'Imogen Rose' lingerie

Hello pickles!

Before Christmas I was lucky enough to win a competition on Hanna's blog and my prize was some Pour Moi? lingerie. 

Due to the Christmas post and an unfortunate mix up in the warehouse, I only got my underwear 2 days ago. I'd kind of given up hope of receiving my prize, but Hanna was fabulous in dealing with Pour Moi? directly throughout and we were in regular contact.

I chose the Imogen Rose set in skin as I love skin tone undies for regular wear and Imogen Rose is the name of a perfume from Lush which I love. Don't judge me. ;)



The bra (£23) is a 44F and the knickers (£12) are a size 22. The knickers (I can't bring myself to say the word 'panties' without wanting to be sick in my mouth) actually fit me because they're extremely stretchy. I generally wear a 26-28 in knickers, for reference.

Eagle eyed readers may know I usually wear a 44 or 46E bra, but because the largest back size Pour Moi do is a 44 I sized up in the cup to compensate and it's a perfect fit. I have bra extenders in case a bra is particularly un-stretchy (the Goddess Kayla bras I wear aren't very stretchy in the back at all) but there's no need with the Imogen Rose bra as it's got quite a lot of give.

Because the uppermost third of the bra is lace I had to be very careful when adjusting my boobs into place. I don't know what your method of sorting out your lady lumps is, but when I put a bra on I do the back up, pull the straps up (and adjust if necessary) then lean forward to lift and plonk each boob into place whilst holding the top of the cup up with the other hand. When I did it with this bra holding onto the lace at the top there was a moment where I thought it might tear, so if you have heavy boobs like me adjust the girls with care. :) My Goddess bras are so sturdy I'm used to chucking my boobs in with abandon. Obviously lace needs more care, so next time I'll be more careful.

I love the little rose details on the bra and knickers, and the little 'peek a boo' detail in the back of the knickers is very cute too. The bra comes in back sizes 32-44 and up to a J cup, and the knickers come in sizes 10-22 (although some of them aren't showing on the website at the moment because they're out of stock.) They come in skin, white, black and slate, a dark grey.

Do you like matching sets? Would anyone like to see these modelled by moi? Sorry, I couldn't resist!


When I modelled these for hubs he gasped and said 'Matching underwear!' so I think that's a bit of a clue that I need to indulge a bit more often.
