I recently bought 4 lipsticks from the Illamasqua sale and I have swatches and a review to share. I bought 2 sensible colours and 2 wild ones. I already had a couple of Illamasqua lipsticks, one of which I reviewed here, so I was familiar with the formula. Illamasqua lipsticks are thick, go on opaque and generally have good longevity. Many of the shades they offer are off the wall, and I ❤ them for it. Read on for more photos and my opinion of them.
The packaging is square and functional, with perhaps not quite as much heft as you'd expect a £19.50 lipstick to have, but I got these in the sale for around £5.85 each so I'm happy.Unfortunately they've gone back up to full price now *sad face* but you can grab them here where they're £15.60 at present.
The shades themselves are lovely - Apocalips and Posture being particularly transformative on the lips - they don't necessarily look the way you *think* they're going to look on, so I've done on lip swatches of those ones.
Below I'm wearing Apocalips. When I bought this I thought I had a similar shade to this but it's actually very different from my other green lipsticks. It's a shape-shifter - in some lights it almost looks like a slatey blue-grey, not green. It's probably not everyone's cup of tea, but I adore it.
Thanks for reading.
