I hope you all had a lovely Christmas? I did. Here's what I wore on Christmas Day - the Scarlett and Jo fishtail velvet maxi dress in Midnight.
*This post was put up before I became aware of a controversy on the Scarlett and Jo Facebook page. I've voiced some thoughts about this issue (and the bigger picture it plays into with regards to UK plus size brands cocking up on social media) on Twitter. I'm considering my position re: my Scarlett and Jo ambassador role.*
I felt a million dollars in this dress. I can't even walk normally in it, I sashay! It gives me a whole new attitude and a spring in my step. I've included way too many photos so forgive me for being in love with myself this once? :)
Even at an 'unflattering' angle I still love this dress on me. |
I'm wearing a size 28 and it's soft, stretchy, errs slightly on the generous side and is a joy to wear. It's not that rough velvet you sometimes get on lesser quality garments, but a luxurious fabric which catches the light as you move. I got so many compliments on this dress on Christmas day, and my aunt wants one too!
If you have a special event at any time of the year you're guaranteed to feel glorious in this dress. This is the perfect dress for dressy occasions such as the races, Ascot, awards ceremonies, white tie events, parties, functions etc.

Thanks for reading today and always! Thanks for your comments all throughout the year. Without you I'd be talking into the ether. I'm wishing you all a happy and healthy 2016. xoxo
