I always mean to do a monthly favourites post but rarely remember. Since it's Christmas and I've got lots of sparkly things to hand I decided to snap some pretties.
I've got some makeup items in my faves which I bought recently. I haven't swatched MUA's Burning Embers eyeshadow palette £8 yet because it's just too pretty, but I keep looking at it. I will get around to it soon. I was sent a His and Hers Tangle Teezer set* £20 which is a lifesaver as they detangle brilliantly on wet or dry hair. My hair is naturally wavy and prone to tangles so it's far less painful than a normal brush. BUT - is there any need to call it his and hers? How about calling it a couples set? Non hetero relationships exist too. If you've never tried a Tangle Teezer, see if you can borrow one from a friend - you'll be amazed how much difference it makes. James LOVES his - both the lovely shiny pewter colour and that it gets through his huge, thick head of hair. His hair tangles all the time as it's so thick and getting a normal brush through it is wince-inducing but this is making a lot of difference. And I don't have to sit and brush through his tangles any more while he holds onto his scalp trying to minimise the pain, haha.
I bought the NYX Cosmic Metals Lip Cream in Speed of Light £7 about a month ago and it's a GORGEOUS rose gold which is as shiny AF. That little Christmas tree brooch was really inexpensive at 99p and it's so pretty. I bought loads to give as stocking fillers. The multi coloured Amazon tree brooch is £5.52. Thick and Fast mascara from Soap and Glory £10.50 is one of my favourite mascaras as it gives me lovely fat lashes. The lovely set of two star shaped brooches was a gift from Lolly in the Halloween swap we bloggers did and I love it. All the bows in the background of the post are from Crown and Glory.
