Plus size fashion news | Studio 8 launch

Hiya rosebuds!

I always like to share new plus size ranges that come out as more choice in plus sizes is always needed.

Studio 8 plus size fashion launch

Studio 8 is an exciting new brand created exclusively for fashion discerning women size 16 to 24 who deserve premium and stylish clothing for every occasion. Derived from established womenswear brand Phase Eight, Studio 8 delivers exceptional quality through beautiful fabrics, exclusive prints and flattering shapes with the aim being to provide women with contemporary wardrobe pieces that look and feel amazing to wear. Launching in July 2015 in selected UK & International department store concessions including John Lewis, Debenhams and House of Fraser, the brand will also be available to buy from its dedicated website www.studio-eight.com.

Now you know what I'm going to say - the size range is a start, but not truly inclusive. People over a size 24 do exist, and do have money to spend on clothes, so I hope the size range will extend in the future. Also, flattering is an oft-loathed word in plus size circles. It suggests plus size people have areas we should cover. I think it's up to us as individuals to decide if we want to be flattered or not.

Judith Bremner, Brand Director of Phase Eight and Studio 8 comments ‘Having built Phase Eight on a design philosophy of unique prints, quality fabrics and elegant style, we wanted to use that experience to create a plus-size brand that is much needed in an under-valued market. Studio 8 is a completely stand-alone brand with a dedicated design team scrupulously working to build collections dedicated to the plus size customer offering desirable fabric bases and well thought through collections for versatile, effortless style.’

How do you like the look of the Studio 8 range so far?

Thanks for reading.
