Outfit | Bridesmaid

Hiya pickles,

On July 4th, two of my best friends in the whole world got married, and I was a bridesmaid for the first time in my life - aged 41. I met JP at work in 2006, and we hit it off straight away. I met Rach in 2009, and some drama with a mutual friend threw us together a year or so later. JP was actually with James and I the night we met Rach, but my friendship with her didn't take off until later. Initially I never imagined that one day they would fall in love as Rach was already attached, but when she broke up with her ex my matchmaking came into play. ;) I couldn't be happier for them as they're both fantastic people and they're so happy together.

I hope to share some of the photos I took of them and the day itself here, but I need to ask their permission first. For now, here are oodles of photos of me in my dress. I felt like a princess. Carla worked wonders with my hair. As well as looking beautiful it held all day, which is so unusual for my hair as it usually falls flat within a couple of hours. I love what she did, and we're going to collaborate on some hair looks in the future. I also need to get her contact details so anyone local to me can have their hair done by her. She also took all the photos of me taken in the garden.

I'm going to do another blog post about my makeup and everything I used. The false eyelashes I used are the best ones I've ever tried and I loved wearing them. I was really pleased at how well my makeup turned out, as I hadn't rehearsed it at all.

Have you ever been a bridesmaid?

Thanks for reading.
Leah xoxo
