Hello loves!
I'm not a wig novice, I've had several in my time, but this one is my favourite one ever.
I have a funny shaped head (the back of my head is quite flat) so heavy wigs need lots of pins to keep them from sliding off the back of my head. This wig isn't too heavy as it isn't very thick, so it's comfortable to wear. I love the wispy fringe and the colour is just amazing. James came home from work when I still had it on and said 'WOW!' as soon as he saw me.
I much prefer this to my other Geisha Wigs wig, which you can see here. That wig is very full and heavy and tugs on the pins in my hair, making it an uncomfortable wear. Maybe I should cut some length off of it...hmmm.
Because I can't dye my hair funky colours any more I do feel like I've lost a bit of my alternative personality, and wigs are the next best thing to having funky hair for real. I'm sure you're going to see lots of me in wigs. :)
I love fashion and being able to dress in a hundred different ways depending on my mood and wigs are just an extension of that. I love being able to express the different aspects of my personality - the goth, the rocker, the girl who likes florals, the girl in bovver boots or the girl in sparkly heels. When I was a child I longed for a dress up box, and now I have a dress up life and I couldn't be any happier. I'm going to get more and more individual as time goes on. I'm going to be a way out there pensioner like Zandra Rhodes or Betsey Johnson. My favourite kind of older ladies are those who refuse to blend into the background.
