Cute mix and match plus size swimwear from Swimsuits Just For Us

Hiya lovelies!

I've got some lush swimwear to show you today which has come to me from across the pond! I got you, American lovelies! 

So what I'm wearing is the Swimsuits Just For Us modest leg plus size swim panty in blue and the Delta Burke triple strap cross back tankini top. SJ4US do a whole range of vibrant swimwear - so much so that I had a hard time picking what to review! They also do beach cover ups and cover sizes right up to a US 32, which is a UK size 36! This is amazing! Prices are affordable too - at the time of writing the tankini top is $39 and the bottoms are $29. If you are buying from the UK do be aware that you may pay a small customs fee. Mine was £13, which wasn't too bad at all.

I love going to the beach. I find it so joyful to feel sun, air and sea on my body. I'm usually too busy having fun on the beach to notice if anyone is staring at me. And if they are staring at me then they're not having enough fun themselves, clearly!

The swim bottoms are a US size 28/UK size 32 and I erred on the side of caution when I ordered as my bum, thighs and belly are where I carry most of my weight. In hindsight I could've sized down to get the tummy control which I favour in bottoms. They are a little too loose, but as SJ4US are in the US I didn't want to order two sizes to be sure of the correct fit because of customs fees. I love the legline which can be worn modestly for lots of bum/thigh coverage, or with the legs up a little higher. It all depends on your comfort level. And talking of comfort - these bottoms are the most comfortable ones I have. I barely knew I had them on. I love the colour too - this blue always feels so summery to me. I am used to a slightly thicker material in swim bottoms - I felt a little exposed knowing my bum dimples were visible, but then so are all my leg dimples so whatcha gonna do? Dimples are cute. :)

Of course I got stuck in the mud!

The tankini top has a few lovely details. First of all there's an elasticated shelf to support your boobs. The crossed straps mean there's firm support for our 'girls', and as the straps are adjustable you can tighten them to hold up very heavy breasts. There's cute ruching on the sides of the top which means you can wear the top longer or shorter. The floral pattern is really cheery and makes me feel like I should be drinking a cocktail reclining on a lounger! I'm wearing a US size 24/UK size 28 and it's perfectly sized for me.

So, I thought it'd be really cute to sit in the shallows and splash about in the water like a toddler (I really find the beach a joyful experience!) but I wasn't aware that Rye beach has a LOT of mudflats. Of course I sat right in the mud, and then when I tried to go out to deeper sea to wash it off I got stuck in deeper mud! The tide was rushing out at this point so I had to accept my bum and legs were staying muddy! You can see how bad it was from the state of my Crocs in the photo above. I'm so glad I took two towels with me as one of them got smothered in mud just cleaning my feet off. I have a talent for these kinds of disasters. :)
