August Glossybox review and contents

It's been a while since I did a beauty post, so today's post is all about August's Glossybox. I've had it a couple of weeks and I've tried everything out so I can share everything with you. It's Glossybox's 5th birthday, so they've teamed up with Rae Feather to make a special Glossybox monogrammed bag.

Let's have a look at what I got.

Rae Feather mini monogram pouchette RRP £20

This mini GB branded pouch is made by Rae Feather, a luxury accessories brand who specialise in woven bags/baskets, and linen items. At about 7" x 5" it's the right size for small makeup items. It's not the prettiest makeup bag I own but it's probably the most expensive!

MUA eyeshadow palette Hall of Fame RRP £4

I'm a fan of MUA and have several of their eyeshadow palettes, so I was pleased to receive one I didn't already have. It has a good mix of neutrals and I'll get a lot of use out of it.

Mudmasky facial detox purifying recovery mask RRP £53 for full size (this is a sample size)

This is the most earthy mud mask I've ever tried - it had lumps and things in it that looked like vegetation - but it left my skin brightened, tightened and glowing with health. It's PH balanced, free of parabens and cruelty free so it's a big hit with me but I doubt I could afford a full size.

Spa To You deep pore facial cleansing brush RRP £6.99

I felt the bristles with my fingers and they felt pretty soft, but not so much on my face. I have sensitive skin and it felt too harsh for use on my face, but I'll use it for massaging in body scrubs instead.

Cowshed Wild Cow invigorating body lotion RRP £20 for full size (this is a sample size)

I loved this body lotion! It smells amazing and gives day long moisture. I applied it to one arm this morning, and at nearly midnight that arm is still softer than the other. It has a blend of lemongrass, ginger and rosemary and it really does perk up the senses.

I liked this box but I didn't love it. I love beauty boxes which give me a taste of high end beauty, so for this to have really ticked all my boxes I would've liked to omit the pouch and have something high end and exciting included instead, perhaps a lipstick. As it is, from just £8.50-£10 a month (plus P&P) with rolling one month subscriptions through to a yearly sign up it's a great way to try before you buy and find out about new beauty brands.
