Thanks to Debz for the heads up on this - UK fashion stalwart Dorothy Perkins are to launch a plus size range on Oct 8th. It will go up to a size 28, and I have mixed feelings about this - I'm really excited for myself and wish they could've pushed it to a size 32. It is absolutely progress, but every time a range comes out which I can wear but my friends can't, it makes me sad because good fashion should be for everyone.
I do think it's a massive step forward and will be another place for plus size women to shop in the high street - something which is often not an option for us. I buy online 90% of the time because in my town the only plus size shop is New Look Inspire. My local DP closed a couple of years ago, and it was next door to Evans which has also shut. When I pop over to Eastbourne to go to Primark and Evans I will definitely pop in on Dotty P's too, as well as shopping with them online, of course.
