Outfit post || Autumn Leaves at Bedgebury

Hello lovelies,

As I've got older I've got a lot more confident about which colours suit me, and I've also found the colours I wear seasonally change more. In the last 5 or so years I've definitely had a summer and a winter palette, but this year I'm craving clothes that mimic the colour of leaves for the first time. I found myself pinning a few colour palettes on Pinterest a few nights ago and I was virtually drooling over colours that resemble the falling leaves of Autumn - several shades of green, rust, mustard, browns and dark burgundies etc. Earthy shades.

With that in mind I rifled through my wardrobe to pick out this ol' New Look dress, which I haven't worn for a long time. P.S. There are chuffing SEQUOIAS in this post. You have no idea how long I've longed to stand beside one of these bad boys. When I was a kid we were dirt poor and there wasn't a lot of entertainment, but we had encyclopedias, and I read them voraciously. As soon as I saw my first photo of a redwood (probably in black and white since I'm old) I was in LOVE. This day was a very happy day!

These photos were taken at Bedgebury Pinetum, which is AMAZING. I have a whole load of photos to post of it another day. I love trees, and they have some amazing specimens here. The views are spectacular. It's £9.50 per car but it's so worth the money! We might go back in a month or so to walk another trail.

We did a 2 mile trail, but we got lost and walked more than that. I was in lots of pain by the end. The first really awful pain symptom I got of Fibro is one of my rarest. I don't know what causes it, but it's a pain in one or both legs when I lift them up to walk. The pain emanates from my inner thighs and feels like someone is hitting my tendons with a tent mallet. It doesn't happen very often, but when it does it's bloody agony. Every step requires gritting of teeth. It came on halfway round and by the end I was nearly crying. Ugh. It was still worth it to see sequoias though!
