Leopard love OOTD

Hiya pickles!

Because I'm a materialistic whore, I bought a couple of dresses to take on holiday with us recently. This is a grey and purple maternity dress from Simply Be. I ordered a size down from usual and it's a great fit. (I'm not pregnant by the way, I just really loved the dress!) You can't really see it in the photos but the gathering under the bust is really figure flattering. I wore this dress on holiday when we went out as a family to celebrate my M-I-L's 60th birthday and baby E loved it. She's only 3 months old but I discovered on our holiday she loves patterns. Every time I wore a patterned dress she would stare at me for ages, and when I picked her up her eyes would widen as she stared intently at me. It was so cute.

The dress is a heavy stretch jersey which feels really nice on. It has washed up great and doesn't crease, which is great. I normally wouldn't like such a high neckline, but because so much attention is drawn to the bust by the twist of fabric underneath, it's actually a classy touch. I think any pregnant lady would love this dress - it flatters the boobs and who wouldn't want to show off their baby bump?! The slightly rounded hem is a great touch - no one wants a big hike up at the front of their dress when they have a big tummy (pregnant or not) - it's not a good look. This is such a well thought out dress. Well done (again!) Simply Be.

Have you ever worn something 'forbidden' like maternity wear when you're not pregnant or perhaps worn a nightie as a dress?

Thanks for reading!
