Collection Gothic Glam lipstick in Seduction

Hiya pickles!

About Christmas time I bought a couple of Collection (previously called 'Collection 2000') lipsticks from the Gothic Glam collection. At the time I'd only just discovered that Collection don't test on animals so this was my first purchase from them for a good few years.

I'm swatching the red shade here today and I'll show you the deep purple shade another day. I'm also trying to get my hands on shade 3, which is a darker, vampier red, but it's constantly sold out on the Superdrug website.

Pucker up

I was quite surprised by the quality of the lipstick itself. It's quite moisturising and smells like fruit (berries?) The bullet itself is quite stiff (and hard to twist up) and very cheap plastic, but for £2.99 I can't complain at all. As to wear time, 2-3 hours? It's hard for me to say because I'm a put-it-on-and-forget-about-it girl. Once it's on I don't keep looking at myself in the mirror. I have quite well moisturised, juicy lips and I think sometimes a drier lip does hold on to a bright colour longer. It's that pinky red colour I seem to favour and gravitate to like magic.

I have a really weird thing because of my Fibromyalgia and that's the inability to pick out certain scents (and sometimes colours!) any more. My brain just goes 'Nah!' That's why I *think* the lipstick smells like berries but wouldn't swear to it. ;)

Since I get more excited by lipsticks than any other make up lately, I can see some more Collection lippies in my life. At £2.99 (or £3.99 for their deluxe lipsticks) it'd be rude not to.

Don't you just love it when cheap make up surprises you?!

What's the best beauty bargain you've had recently?

Thanks for peeking.
