Leaving Do OOTD

Hello lovelies!

I'm sorry I'm a bit light on the OOTD front at the moment but I have a few coming up in quick succession this week.

On Saturday my hubby and I went to our friends Rach and JP's leaving do. They are emigrating to Canada on Monday. For those of you who don't know a 'do' is an occasion, a party, etc. although confusingly it's also used as an abbreviation for a hair cut (hair do!) That cleared up, onto the photos!

I wore my Simply Be Galaxy dress again, with a cover up thing (again from Simply Be.) The belt is from ASOS Curve. I wore my comfy ankle boots from Tesco as I wasn't sure if there'd be enough seating for us all at the party and didn't want to end up in pain from pretty but uncomfortable shoes.

I went heavy on the make up as evenings out are a rarity for us so I always end up plastering it on with a trowel. It was too much in retrospect! I used the Catrice eyebrow powder Gail sent me. It must've taken 20 minutes to get my eyebrows right because they grow like chalk and cheese. Once they were done they stayed put despite sweating a lot - it was very hot in the party venue and I had a few dances as well.

I'm going to do a post about my friends in the next few days with lots of photos from our time together. I've known JP since 2006 (I used to work with him and he was one of my besties as soon as we started working together) and Rach since 2009. I did a little matchmaking with them and acted as a go-between in the uncertain early days and I'm thrilled they found love together. It's been over 2 years they've been together now and although I'm going to miss them both SO SO much, I'm so glad they're forging a new path together. I'm going to stop now because I'm going to cry again! Ye gads.
