Forward planning

Hiya!

This time of year is wonderful - so ripe, so full of promise. The winter is over, sunny days are here again (at last!) and it feels like the rest of the year is here for the taking. Our social life gets a little busier in the summer, visits to friends are always stepped up in spring/summer and we visit our families regularly as usual. Here are a few things I have to look forward to.

Next This month it's my dad and brother's birthdays within 3 days of one another. My dad will be 60, my brother 38. We'll be going out for a big family meal to celebrate.

Here they are about 10 years ago

The films (I can't quite bring myself to say 'movies' yet) which come out in Spring and Summer are usually blockbusters and here are a few I'm looking forward to seeing. I love cars (which is odd because I don't drive) and if I'm bored I'll often pop in a Fast & Furious film. What can I say? I'm a sucker for Vin Diesel's gravelly voice. We will definitely see this at the cinema.

I'm a Trekkie, so it goes without saying that I'll be watching this in the cinema, even though Benedict Cumberbatch creeps the hell out of me as a baddie.

This looks interesting because it has Charlie Hunnam (Jax Teller in Sons of Anarchy), Ron Perlman (Hellboy, Clay Morrow in Sons of Anarchy) and Idris Elba (Luther, Prometheus) in it and it's robots vs aliens from the sea. It looks chuffing bonkers! I'm hoping we'll get to see it at the cinema. As someone said in the comments section on Youtube:

Best case scenario:
great characters + great story + giant robots fighting giant monsters = awesome movie
worst case scenario:
terrible characters + terrible story + giant robots fighting giant monsters x turn brain off = awesome movie

There are lots of other things to look forward to which we haven't pencilled in yet - visiting our friends who live in Manchester at some point this summer, possibly going to a biker festival, having various family members come to stay with us and hopefully we'll squeeze in a holiday, too. Hopefully there'll be lots of lots and sunshine too, so I can take it in from my sunroom with ice cubes chinking in my glass or actually go outside and sweat my butt off. I prefer to do my exercise indoors in front of a powerful fan but have been known to get my sweat on outside the house. ;)

Something which is pencilled in is seeing sexy blog ladies in Leeds at the fat clothes swap. I have a bunch of stuff to take with me and am really looking forward to meeting the lovely ladies I've been chatting to online.

What have you got planned in the next few months?

Thanks for reading!
