A few weeks ago Kathryn asked me if I wanted to be involved in a secret project. Of course I was in like a shot! K was organising a 5-way clothing link up featuring tall, petite and regular plus sizers to show how Simply Be's petite, tall and standard plus ranges look on a variety of bodies. What a genius idea and I'm thrilled to be involved! At 5ft 5 (and a half) I come into Simply Be's regular height plus size range.
Simply B kindly provided us with the dresses. The dress we first agreed on was out of stock, so another was chosen. This is it - the floral print skater dress. I didn't realise it had no stretch - if I'd realised, I would've sized up because my unproportionally large bum eats up fabric, but no matter because I love it and I think it looks good as it is - skiiiiin tight across the bum bum. The fabric is much nicer in the flesh than on the website and when it arrived I realised how many different colours it would look good with. It's always good to have options! This was definitely a case of try something new and love it.
It's like a tunic top length on me and it's fine. I'm already envisioning wearing this with a long beige cardi and some skinny jeans next time, as florals and denim go together like cheese and pickle. I love that it has POCKETS! Everything should come with pockets. It also has buttons at the breast so you can show a cheeky flash of cleavage if you wish. It also has full length sleeves you can roll up and fasten with a button on warm days, so it's a very versatile piece.
Isn't it great to have choices? Tall, petite or medium height and plus sized, the world's your oyster.
